RCS 101. HISTORY OF RELIGION
This course traces the origin of religion, right from the time of Adam to Cain, to Nimrod and to the formation of what we see today as religions. The purpose of this study is to reveal how religion started and what led to religions we see today. This course will help the student to understand how old is religion.
RCS 102. ANIMISM
This course traces how animism as a form of religion started and why that became the most ancient concept of worship. Animisim is a belief that projects sun, moon, river, trees, forest, hills, stars, mountains, animals and other objects as deities and objects of worship and respect. Animism is one of the ancient religious practices, worships and beliefs. This course will help the student to know the ancient concept of people.
RCS 103. HISTORY OF HINDUISM
This course traces the origin of Hinduism as the oldest organized religion. The purpose of this course is to trace how Hinduism started and the issues that formed Hinduism, the areas of concentration and the founder of such faith. This course will help the student to see and understand how the Hindus came across their faith.
RCS 104. HISTORY OF JUDAISM
This course traces and reveals the origin of Judaism, the Jewish religion. This is the very faith founded by Moses the leader of the Jews. This is the religion of the Old Testament Hebrews. This course traces how the religion came to be. This course will help the student to be wise.
RCS 105. COMPARATIVE RELIGION
This course compares all world religions, especially the eleven most notable ones and considers their areas of agreements and areas of disagreement. This course aims at showing the activities of world religions and areas of similarities in worship, similarities faith, in hope, in doctrine, in emphasis and in practice. This course will help the student to trust Jesus.
RCS 106. WORLD RELIGION
This course traces all the notable religions in the world, especially the first eleven among them and unveils the history, focus and activities of each of them with a primary purpose of knowing how they started and why they are existing. This course will help the student to understand other religions and avoid their deadly doctrines.
RCS 107. AFRICAN TRADITIONAL RELIGION
This course treats all forms of traditional worship, traditional faith, traditional philosophy and all traditional concept of the African man. The religions of the Africans are embodied in their cultures, day to day activities and other traditional festivities. The purpose of this course is to show the ancient and modern ideas of the Africans before and after the white man's view came to them.
RCS 108. ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANITY
This course traces the birth of the church from the birth of Jesus, the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, down to the coming of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. The focus is to show how the church started with useful materials to the events in Acts of the Apostles. This course is different from church history, which traces how the church grew till date.
RCS 109. ISLAM 1 (HISTORY AND ORIGIN OF ISLAM)
This course traces how Mohammed started and how he got his revelation, which today formed a big religion in the world called Islam. This course is all about the birth of Islam and the call of Mohammed as a prophet with full details of both his childhood, marriage, family life, ministry and other areas necessary to understand in his religion.
RCS 110. ISLAM 11 (HISTORY OF SHARIA)
This course treats and traces the origin of Sharia, the impact of Sharia in Nigeria and other parts of the world. This curse shows the Muslim concept of Sharia and all negative views Sharia has against the follower of Jesus. The meaning of Sharia shall be treated and be well understood by the student.
RCS 111. ISLAM 111 (THE HISTORY AND MEMBERSHIP OF O.I.C)
This course treats and traces the origin and purpose of the O.I.C. the member countries of O.I.C and all religious forms of the O.I.C. This course will also unveil how the O.I.C is being carried out by the member countries. This course will help the student to understand why the Muslims implement the idea of O.I.C and planned to cover different countries with that idea.
RCS 112. INTRODUCTION TO HEATHEN RELIGION
This course treats and traces what is today known as heathen religion. It unveils the ideas of the heathens, which include family gods, fertile gods, health gods, war gods and different gods for different matters. Some of these ideas are seen in Asia, Africa and Australia. It is quite closer to paganism. This faith rejects God of heaven and does not agree with Christianity.
RCS 113. PAGANISM
This course deals on the materials, matters, rituals, practices, activities, beliefs and necessary things that constitute pagan faith, such as offerings to wood deities, libation to stone gods, dedication of children, items and lands to deities, forbidding some animals and dedicating some animals, trees, rivers and issues to gods. Worshiping idols and living by fear and instruction of evil deities.
RCS 114. ISLAMIC WORLD VIEW RCS 114
This course has to do with the culture, doctrine, confession and the general philosophy of the Islamic religion. This course traces what the Muslims believe and why the Muslims do what they do. The laws, principles and ethics of the Muslims shall be discussed in this course. This course will help the student to understand the Muslim background.
RCS 115. ETHOS OF CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (C.A.N)
This course traces, deals and treats the origin, the purpose, the programmes, the doctrines, the focus and articles of faith of the Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N). the main divisions of C.A.N and the emphasis, name doctrines of each of the divisions shall be discussed. This course will help the student to know his stand in faith.
RCS 116. HISTORY OF ISRAEL NATION
This course traces the history and life of the Israelites, especially from the book of Exodus to the 2Samuel after the establishment of the kingdom. This course focuses on how Israel became a nation and how they worshipped their God as a nation. This course will help the student to understand God's leadership in a nation (people).
RCS 117. RELIGIOUS PROPHETS IN ISRAEL
This course treats all prophets both those whose are known to us and those who did not even write but featured as prophets in Israel. This course focuses on their activities, messages, lives, programmes, success and failures. This course unveils all that prophesied in Israel whether they have written a book or not and all other duties which such prophets performed with the detailed documents of their backgrounds, time and dates of their ministries.
RCS 118. JUDGGES AND KINGS IN ISRAEL
This course introduces, explains and traces all judges and their duties, time and places of origins, together with the kings of both northern and southern kingdoms of Israel. This course treats all judges and kings that ever reigned and ruled in Israel and projects their activities, failures, problems and success. This course will help the student to understand some secrets in spiritual leadership in the church.
RCS 119. HINDUS PHILOSOPHY
This course treats and traces the philosophy, life and confession of the Hindus. The primary purpose of this course is to view such ideas with the bible truth. The student will through this course understand that not all religions are godly and to know that there are many contrary views in religion.
RCS 120. HISTORY OF CANON
This course treats how the bible was selected and how Holy Spirit gave guidelines to the church fathers to compile the documents, which today are known as “THE BIBLE”. This course otherwise is called the origin of the letter from God to man. How did it come to us? Who wrote it? How was it complied? What were the requirements for acceptance and who made the choice? The purpose of this course is to help the student to trust and believe the bible.
RCS 121. COMPARATIVE SCRIPTURES
This course is on scripture comparison. It compares the bible with other religious books of other religions like Muslims, Hindus, Eckankar, and the scriptures of other religions to see the similarities, agreements, contradictions, disagreements and other things that may rise from such comparison. It majors on comparing other religious scriptures with the bible (God's word) and to know why such religions exist.
RCS 122. PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP
This course is devoted to principles, ordinances, methods and materials for the Christian worship. It unveils how, why and when does the Christian worship his God. The order, condition, laws, guidelines and the scripture principles controlling Christian worship shall be discussed and evaluated. This course will help the student to understand things that constitute Christian worship.
RCS 123 HISTORY AND WORSHIP OF ECKANKAR
This course has to do with the origin, worship and beliefs of the Eckankar. The religion and its social activities shall be considered and be studied. Eckankar presently stands as an independent religion and preaches in different radio stations with emphasis on re-incarnation. This course focuses on the origin and mission of this religion.
RCS 124. HISTORY OF CHRIST APOSTLES
This course has to do with history of the apostles of Jesus Christ. It traces how each apostle started and how each ended up his life. Where each apostle died, the year, the cause of his death, the place of his death and conditions surrounding his death. This course unavoidably will treat the general activities of each apostle in his lifetime and how finally he died. This course will help the student to understand that our labours are not in vain.
RCS 125. HISTORY OF PENTECOST
This course traces and states how Pentecost started both in Old and in New Testament times. This course reveals the purpose, activities and benefits of the Pentecost. The origin of the Pentecost and its benefits to the present day church is the main focus of this course. This course will help the student to be rigid in his faith and confession and to trust the lord more.
RCS 126. HISTORY OF WEST AFRICAN PAGANISM
This course traces how paganism and other Fetish religions came to West Africa and how came the name of markets, rivers, forests and other Fetish names that are associated with Paganism. Is Paganism original religion of the West African people? Was Paganism introduced to them by others? How did the West Africans in the midst of Paganism have the knowledge of the true God? This course will help the student to understand how the West African people embraced paganism.
RCS 127. ISLAM IN WEST AFRICA
This is the history of Islamic religion in West Africa; it has to do with how Islam came to West Africa, the year, from where and through whose efforts. The course will also trace the city, town, village or country that embraced it first. This course will tell us how Muslim came to West African as it is today. This course will help the student to understand that Islam is never the original of the West African people.
RCS 0028. CHRISTIANITY IN WEST AFRICA
This course unveils how the church came to the West Africa. It reveals the first city, province, nation and the efforts of Christianity in West Africa. This course will reveal the developments, progress and transformations brought by Christianity in West Africa is the focus of this course. The student will learn that Christianity in West Africa has given birth to many blessings we have today in West Africa.
RCS 0029. HOLY LAND STUDIES
This course is devoted to the studies of past and present Isreal. It is both historic and historical studies of the things spoken by the bible, the fulfilled prophecies, the present situation of Israel, the maps of the past and present Israel and the conditions of comparative studies. It reveals the past and present people of the land. This course will help the student to trust bible prophecies.
RCS 130. RITUALISM
This course treats and traces all forms of rituals in the present religious world. The negative rituals and all unacceptable rituals that have filled and polluted our lands today shall be focused and discussed. This course aims at helping the student to understand what a Christian should and what a Christian should not do in order to preserve the faith.
RCS 131. FICTIOLOGY
This course treats and traces all fictions and all false beliefs coupled with the most recent fabrications of false and fake happenings. The course deals on fictional statements fictitious gatherings and all fictions fellowships nowadays. The fictitious groups and fellowships shall be viewed and discussed in this matter to help the student to understand the true faith and the only way.
RCS 132. ETHNOLOGY
This course is devoted to the studies of the characteristics of different peoples and differences and relationships between them. It is also ethnography of the peoples and nations of the bible days. This course will deal with the culture, economic lives and the activities of the people and nations described by the bible in both old and New Testament times. This course will build the student's faith to the enviable level.
RCS 133. BIBLE TRADITIONS
This course has to do with the traditions and all forms of ancient cultures seen in the bible especially in the old Testament times. Nevertheless, these cultures and peoples emphasis shall not major on the Jewish culture but the emphasis shall be on the ancient traditions of the nations around Israel. This course will help the student to understand the difference between the traditions of men and the law of God.
RCS 134. CHRISTIAN INSTITUTIONS
This course has to do with all bible, church or Christian institutions both those seen in the bible and those instituted by the church fathers. This course is also called “Bible Institutions” which covers all other institutions discovered in the bible. This course can help the student to understand all acceptable institutions by the church and those already done by the church. This course covers all about institutions of the Christian faith.
RCS 135. THE A.M.O.R.C
This course treats and traces the origin and the beliefs of the AMORC. How AMORC started, when, where and the emphasis of the AMORC. This course will reveal the religious and philosophical stand of the AMORC. The real meaning, claims and doctrines of the AMORC. The secrets of the bothers of the Rosy cross shall be revealed in this course. The truth about the Rosicrucian shall be discussed. This course will give the student a strong stand to defend the Christian faith always.
RCS 136. RITES AND RITUALS
This is definition course, which defines the meaning, symbols and significance's of religious rites and rituals. What are the rites and rituals? Why are the rites and rituals performed? How are they performed? When are these necessary? This course will help the student to understand the necessity and the purpose of religious rites and rituals in the church and elsewhere.
RCS 137. SOCIOLOGY OF RELIGION
This course is devoted to the sociology of religion. It also treats the church and the society, religions and the society and activities of the religious world. Their relationship with the world and the society at large will be considered. This course will treat the influence and activities of religions in the society. The course will help the student to understand the intimacy of religions and the society.
RCS 138. RITUALS IN AFRICAN SECTS
This course deals on witches and sorceries including all diabolic activities in Africa including those done in the churches and those inform of Christian rituals. It includes all social evils and all manners of diabolic activities in the forests, rivers, junctions, shrines and those done by witch doctors and pastors as means of prayers, prophecies or deliverance. This course will help the student to know his left and right in religion.
RCS 139. ANALYSIS OF OCCULTISM
This course traces and explains what is occultism, the groups that constitute the occult and the practices of the occults. This course aims at bringing the dangerous activities of the occult groups to avoid deceiving Gods elect. This course will make the student to be wise and careful.
RCS 140. MODERN CULT MOVEMENTS
This course should not be confused with the occultism hence the two are not the same. This course aims and treats the cult groups, signs of the cults, membership of the cults, teachings of the cults and how to know a cult group. This course will help the student to understand the difference between the truth and teachings of the cults.
RCS 141. BIBLE RELIGIOUS
This course traces and teaches all religions of the Gentile world found in the bible especially those seen in the Old Testament bible and their deities. This course aims at showing the weaknesses of fake religions and the superiority of our faith to such religions. The student will learn that our God is the real creator of heaven and the earth through this study.
RCS 142. PHILSOSOPHY OF THE HEBREWS
This unveils the religious ideas, religious thinking and general worldview of the Hebrews, how they considered advents, sorrows, deaths, wars and barrenness. This course will also unveil how miracles, blessings, fortunes and good health were viewed by the ancient Hebrews. This course will unveil the difference between believers in Judaism and those in Christianity.
RCS 143. ETHICS OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP
This course teaches and presents Christianity as a religion and unveils the religious materials in Christianity. It further presents the issues that constitute Christian worship and membership. How the Christians worship and issues for the worship of the Christian church shall also be presented in this course.
RCS 144. CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW
This course views and treats how the Christians consider and think about sin, salvation, holiness, rapture, heaven, eternity, death, miracles, hell fire, hardship,, the church and other views that make Christianity a peculiar race and God's own foundation on earth. This course will help the student to understand that the church has a different view with other religions of the world.
RCS 145. HEBREW SECTS
This course treats and unveils the religious sects in Hebrew days (in Israel). The ideas of the Pharisees, Saducees and others shall be considered. The differences in the Hebrew sects shall be put into consideration and shall form the major parts of these studies. This course will help the student to know the true faith in the midst of other emphasis.
RCS 146. THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA
This course has two things to major on. It should other wise be called the two major emphases regarding the church in Nigeria. These two emphases are
1. The origin of Christianity in Nigeria
2. The history of different denominations in Nigeria.
This course will help the student to understand how the faith came to us and how the early believers in Nigeria have preserved the faith and continue keeping the faith for us.
RCS 147. BIBLE FESTIVITIES
This course features all festivals, ceremonies and Jewish religious activities seen in the bible. This aims at comparing them and showing their significance's to the New Testament events. The names and purposes of the ceremonies shall be prominent in this course and why such occasion shall be unveiled. This course will build the student.
RCS 148. ETHOS OF GOSPEL TASK
This course presents the church and the entire Christian community as the “GOSPEL” and views the doctrine, emphasis, life and general activities o f the gospel as “EVANGELISM”. While the supreme task of evangelism is soul winning and the action of soul winning is to convert the religious world to CHRIST. This course presents the religious world as the prospective converts of the church, which is the gospel view of relationship with the world of religion.
RCS 149. DEBATOLOGY
This course presents an argument and debate including false accusation of the religious world against Christianity. This course presents the virgin birth, death, resurrection, ascension, second coming and the divinity of Jesus as real as God says which are totally argued by the religious world. The Hindus, Islam's and the Confucians have argued and denied that Jesus did not die for all neither is he the savior as Christians claim. This course presents these religious debates from the scriptural point of view and helps the opponents to see the light.
RCS 150. IGBO TRADITIONAL RELIGION
This course is on Igbo traditional religion and also features in Igbo worldview, Igbo deities, ceremonies, festivities and the general philosophy of the Igbo man in eastern part of Nigeria. This course aims at comparing Igbo man's religion, which is considered as the continuation of Jewish Judaism. This course will help the student to understand Judaism.
RCS 151. INTRO TO SEMITIC CULTURES
This treats and unveils the Semitic culture revealed by the Bible. These include the cultures, deities and philosophies of the Egyptians, those of the Assyrians, those of the Philistines, those of the Syrians, those of the Babylonians, those of the Persians, Cananites, Jebusites ad those of the Israelites especially those inherited from their Semitic neighbors such as polygamy and secret cults. This course will view their religions, deities and cultures of those bible nations of old.
RCS 152 WEST AFRICAN PHILOSOPHY
This course has to do with the reasons, ideas, cultures and activities of the West Africans. The present and past views of the West Africans shall be considered. This course will consider the effect of Christianity in the culture of the West Africans. The countries in West Africa shall be reviewed, while their cultures shall be considered to be compared with the present influence of Christianity.
RCS 153. RELIGIONS AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
This course is an educative course aiming at showing the countries of the world. This course present the percentage of Islam, percentage of Christianity, percentage of traditional religion and the percentage of atheism in each of the countries to evaluate the influence of Christianity and to know the dominating religion in each country. This course will challenge the student to be serious in evangelism.
RCS 154. HISTORY OF REVIVAL
This course traces how great ministers carried out revival and restoration ministries after the Dark Age and finally revived the church and brought back hope and successful ministries to the church and believers at large. The names of each of the reformers or revivalists shall be mentioned while their ministries shall be viewed to help us understand their efforts. This course will challenge the student.
RCS 155. HISTORY OF PILGRIMAGES
This course has to do with the religious pilgrimages of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob coupled with those of the Jews and all those church founders like Paul, Peter and other church fathers including all those who hazarded their lives because of our faith. All their actions, visions and missions shall be discussed and how such have helped our faith shall be discussed as well.
RCS 156. SIGNIFICANCE OF CHRISTIAN FESTIVALS
This course has to do with the origin, purpose, significance and the benefits of Christian festivities and other Christian ceremonies such as Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, Water baptism and the Holy Communion. This course unveils the history and why Christians are involved in Xmas, and other ceremonies. When, how, what and why shall we celebrate Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, Water Baptism, Holy Communion and what are their significances to our spiritual life and our faith in general. This course will help the student to know why we do what we do.
RCS 157. ETHOS OF JEWISH LAWS
This course has to do with the religious laws of the Jews given by Moses the founder of Jewish religion. This course will derive its power from the books of Exodus down to the book of Deuteronomy to effect the religious laws of the Jews that formed both their worship and their faith. This course will help the student to be balanced in faith and in the matters of religions.
RCS 158. HISTORY OF INSPIRATION
This course clarifies the history of the Bible, how the bible came to us, the debates and selections that gave birth to our bible. Evidences that prove the authenticity of the Bible and evidence that prove the bible as the only inspired word of God and complete revelation from God shall be discussed. How the inspiration came and the process of the revelation shall be unveiled in this course and this course will help the student to understand why God gave us the bible.
RCS 159. THE CHURCH IN AFRICA
This course treats all about how Christianity began in Africa. Another name for this course is “the history of Christianity in Africa” the summary of this course is that the course deals on the history of Christianity in first century AD. It gives light on how Christianity started early in North Africa from there to other parts of the world. This course shall help the student to discover our heritage.
RCS 160. HISTORY OF CIVILIZATION
This course treats and unveils the history and process of civilization beginning with the Egypt and other ancient worlds. The migration and pilgrimages of the patriarchs shall be put into consideration. This course reveals not only the movement of men but also the movement of God in world civilization and population. This course will help the student to understand mysteries of life.
RCS 161. HISTORY OF THE PALESTENIAN WORLD
This course treats and addresses the history and activities including the religions of the ancient Palestinian world as were revealed in the Old Testament of our bible. This course brings out their activities beginning with the time of Abraham to the time of the last captivity of the Israelites. This course will reveal why God drove them out of their land and gave the same to Israel the sons of Jacob.
RCS 162. HISTORY OF THE TESTAMENTS
This course treats and unveils the activities, the events and all that happened between the Old and New Testament period. The course is primarily considered as the issues during the 400 silent years in Israel, which was between Malachai and Mathew. The government, religion, revelations and all that took place by then. What were conditions of the people before Jesus was born? What happened between Malachai and Matthew?
RCS 163. THE OLD TESTAMENT COSMOL0GY
This course is on the world of the Old Testament, which is a religious survey of the people, trade, commerce, wars, religions and other issues that took place especially in the land of the gentiles between the times of Moses and the time of David. This course will reveal the activities of the gentile world in this period, their relationships with the Israelites and how their religions affected the people of God.
RCS 164. THE NEW TESTAMENT COSMOLOGY
This course also treats and deals on the matters, events, people, nations, government, power, religions, economy and the lives of the New Testament people. This course covers from the time of the John the Baptist to the time of John the beloved who died about AD 96. this course covers what happened when John the Baptist, Jesus, Peter, Paul and all the apostles lived. How the life, government and religions of the nations affected Christianity and the entire gospel shall be discussed.
RCS 165. HISTORY OF REVELATION
This course does not only prove that God spoke and the bible was written but produces great evidences why God said- write! Where the angels said- write! Where the prophets who heard from God said- write and how the bible was written by a divine revelation from God. This course traces how the church got her scripture from men who came from God and not from mere men.
RCS 166. AFRICAN INDIGINEOUS CHRISTIAN MOVEMENTS
This course treats and traces the origin of all African indigenous Christian movements, which started in Africa and headed by the Africans otherwise known and addressed as the white garment churches. The doctrines and peculiarities of this group shall be discussed and their emphasis shall also be discussed to help the Bible college student of EL Theological College. These churches are addressed in Nigeria as white garment churches today.
RCS 167. COMPARATIVE PHILOSOPHY
This course compares the philosophies of the church, that of the Hindus, that of the Muslim, that of the Eckankar, that of the Pagan and that of the atheist about death, life after death, eternity, salvation, sin, peace, hell, heaven, re-incarnation, prayers, sacrifices, money, priesthood, blood and other sensitive issues that can help their philosophies comparable and accessible.
RCS 168. RELIGIONS AND AFRICAN RACE
This course is also called the history and religion of African nations. This course primarily is only on three major religions of the Africans, namely, Christianity, Islam and traditional religion. The countries of Africans are here presented and the very dominating religion among these three shall be stipulated, while the percentage of others shall also be stipulated. This is to help the church to discover her unreached zones in Africa. This very course will help the student to know countries dominated by the church, those dominated by Islam and those in African traditional religion and the atheists also.
RCS 169. THEORIES OF RELIGION
This course brings different theories of religions and different ideas and beliefs in religions. What did other religions say abut the Noah's flood? What are their theories about Adam and Eve in the garden? What of the issue of Cain and Abel? Did their records over Abraham's pilgrimages? And if so, who is Abraham? What of their theory about the Jewish exodus from Egypt? This is theory comparative.
RCS 170. PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION
This course has to do with why people belong to religion, what is the hope of religious people? Why people believe and do what they do in their religion? Each religion emphasis is what we regard as their philosophy. There are things that make people's gathering- a religion, hence not all gatherings are religious. We have academic gathering, political gathering, community meeting, social clubs and other gatherings still these are not religion but what makes a gathering “RELIGION” is the emphasis of this course, those things that will be said, done, applied and used that can only be done in religious gathering are the things needed to spelt out in this course.
RCS 171. THE CHURCH TRADITION OF DEVELOPMENT
This course teaches all about the religious activities of the church in the church and by the church. This course is otherwise called the church and her tradition of politics. What are those things that can only be done in the church and only by the church? The aim of this course is to unveil the special religious duties of the church, in the church alone and how they are carried out by the church in the church.
RCS 172. HISTORY OF MISSIONS
This is the history and activities of the missionaries in Africa and other parts of the world. The course aims at unveiling the mission fields in the world and the efforts of the Christian missionaries in those areas. This course shall show how the Christian missionaries have carried their missions to where man is found. The activities of such missionaries, their names, years and their activities, their missions and areas of their activities are of great importance in this very discourse.
RCS 173. CHRISTIANITY 1
This course teaches and traces the words of Jesus on the establishment of his church and what Jesus said the church and Christianity should be. It reveals the foundation of Christian faith and the aim of Jesus Christ in the establishment of his church. The faith of the church, doctrine of the church and the life of the church of Jesus are the very issues in the discourse. This course will help the student to understand the cause of our gathering.
RCS 174. CHRISTIANITY 11
This course teaches all about the life of a Christian man. The chief emphasis in this discourse is the life in Christianity. It teaches Christian faith, faithfulness, holiness, purity of heart, love and sharing as the foundation of Christianity which are the activities of the new life in Jesus. This course explains what Christianity is and what Christianity is not. This discourse will help the student to understand the Christian faith and faithfulness.
RCS 175. CHRISTIANITY 111
This course teaches and unveils the works and missions of Christianity. The Christian faith is the faith of action, vision, unction and mission. The purpose of Christianity is to do the will of God on earth as it is in heaven and for this to be real, special actions must be taken and those actions are what we call the works and mission of the church (Christianity) which include evangelism, soul winning, healing, deliverance and restoration. In other words, this course is called the business of Christianity on earth. The student will understand why Jesus founded his church through this course.
RCS 176. CHRISTIANITY IV
This course teaches and unveils how Peter, Paul and other apostles carried out the mission and ministry of Christianity. How the apostles viewed, worked and lived the life of Christianity. This course has to do with the lives, practices, emphasis, activities, prayer, evangelism, piety and services of the apostles in response to Jesus instruction on Christianity. Examples shall be drawn from the book of the Acts of the Apostles to take us into practical studies in this course. This course will help the student to know the price and prize in Christianity.
RCS 177. ANALYSIS OF RELIGIOUS DIVIDENDS
This course is on the social, spiritual, economical and other benefits from religions to the community of men. This course is otherwise known as religion and world civilization. This course brings out and shows many developments and blessings which religions brought to their community and general mankind. What are those things introduced to the world by the religions of the people. There are many things brought by religion which many communities, cities and villages where religions are founded and established. This course will help the student to discover what and other benefits from religions of the people.
RCS 178. DIVINITIES AND MODERN POLYTHEISM
This course traces the names, activities and locations of the national deities and some polytheistic religions. The deities seen in the bible and those in history shall be discussed, the history and practices of polytheism (plurality of gods) shall be discussed and be traced. The gods seen and found in some religions shall be treated and discussed. What are the names of those gods, where are their locations and what religion such deities come from both those seen in history, in communities and in bible days. This course shall help the student to understand deities and polytheism of the world revealed in history and in bible.
RCS 179. CHURCH HISTORY 1
This course is traces the history and events that have occurred in the church since the birth of the church and all the activities that have affected the church, the key roles played by individuals and all the persecutions, problems and progress made by the church. This course also will treat oppositions from foes (outsiders) and oppositions from friends (insiders), different theories and philosophies that confronts the church and the invasion of the Islam to the churches especially those in Egypt. This course covers the birth of the church down to the time of Martin Luther and his reformation.
RCS 180. GENERAL CHURCH HISTORY 11
This course from the time of Martin Luther's reformation to 1960. this course treats and reveals the later history of the church, the major issues that happened, missions and visions carried out by the people, the church authority and administration, the protestants and their religious views. The efforts of the Catholic Church and all that were done to preserve the faith. This history will help the student to understand the rigorous ways the church has passed before we believed.
RCS 181. RELIGION AND NIGERIAN SOCIETY
This course traces the influence of religion in Nigerian society and the benefits of religion in the contemporary Nigerians. What are the militating religions in Nigeria and what are the usefulness, goodness or harm have religions caused Nigerians. This course shall review the activities and programmes of religions in Nigeria.
RCS 182. CHRISTIANITY AND WESTERN EDUCATION IN NIGERIA
This course examines the influence of Christianity and Western education in Nigeria. It unveils the contributions of Christianity and western education in Nigeria. This course is very educative and reveals the benefits of education and Christianity since the Christianization of Nigeria. This course will help the student to strictly embrace the church and education as means of livelihood.
RCS 183. RELIGION AND POLITICS IN NIGERIA
This course surveys the religious politics, religion and government and Nigerian politics and religions in Nigeria. It surveys the role of religions in Nigerian politics and suggests how best to move the country forward what is Nigerian politics and how does it look like and what shall be the influence of religions in Nigerian politics. This course will help the religious thinkers to understand their roles in Nigerian politics.
RCS 184. RELIGIOUS CONFLICT IN NIGERIA
This course reveals religious crisis, the causes, initiators and their cure. Why are there bloodshed, death and rampant killing as a result of religion in Nigeria? What is the cure to such crisis? This course aims at bringing resolution, settlement and total healing to the frequent religious crisis in Nigeria by introducing total race among all.

This course is on “who are the people involved in religion, how do they behave, what do they do and what makes their religion visible? RCS 205 TRADITION OF RELIGION
This course has to do with all ancient doctrines, beliefs, rituals, rites, ceremonies, festivities and all religious laws that came to the present society from the founding fathers of the religion which the present regime still hold silkily and seriously and still emphasize all rigidly.
